Hobbs, NM - New Mexico Junior College claimed the 2024 NJCAA DI Men's Golf Championship title. The Thunderbirds shot -13 to take the title.
New Mexico had one player finish as a top-18 finisher, and two players finish as All-Americans. Matt Walters had an individual score of 280 and Travis Robbie had an individual score of 284.
This was New Mexico’s first DI Men’s Golf National title.
Odessa totalled 1126 in the national tournament to fall only three strokes behind the Thunderbirds. The Wranglers put two players on the All-America team: Adam Bresnu (279) and Logan Vargas (282).
Midland finished out the week in third place with a total of 1130. The Chaps saw three players to the All-America team: Tom Watson (277), Benjamin Lund-Ravn (279), and Oscar Holm Bredkjaer (283).
Thanaphon Suwannapratheep claimed the 2024 NJCAA DI Men’s Golf Individual Champion title. Suwannapratheep shot a 275 on the week to take home the title. He ended round one tied for seventh place before moving up to a first-place tie after round two. Round three put him in second place before finishing the week at number one. The sophomore is Dodge City’s first ever athlete to win a DI Men’s Golf National Championship. Suwannapratheep wins individual title.
